Butt Weld Pipe Cross tee is a four side pipe connector commonly used in piping system for flow of air, water, natural gas and further more. It is ‘+’ shaped pipe connector having pipe joints of 90 Degree at all side. In a Cross Tee pipe fittings the pipes are connected in two horizontal side and two vertial side. The ASME / ANSI B16.9 Cross Tee comes in two range Equal Cross and Reducing Cross ( Unequal tee ). Both have different properties as per their specifications. The Equal Cross pipe fittings have female openig at all four sides of same size, hence it is called Equal Cross. The Reducing Cross have female opening on two side of different size and the other side two sides equal, thus it is known as Reducing Cross Tee.
